Such removal does require special equipment and training. For readers who would like to have amalgam fillings removed, the International Association of Oral Medicine and Toxicology website has a list of trained dentists in your area. To go directly to the search page, you can click here. Note that a link is also provided on that page for finding properly trained dentists in countries outside the U.S. and Canada. IAOMT certification means that the physician or dentist has had the requisite training.

Why hasn’t media done more investigative journalism regarding the epidemic of misdiagnosing children with autism and Asperger's Syndrome? Autism Spectrum Disorder is a total joke---it lumps all levels of autism together into one big happy family. The American Psychiatric Association should be ashamed of itself for being so obtuse regarding what autism is and what it is not. Do they even realize that thousands of kids with ADHD, Bi-Polar, OCD,ODD, MPD and genetic disorders such as Fragile X and Hyperlexia are often mislabeled “autistic”? This had gone waaaaaay tooooo far, people! Government wants to label all these kids autistic…WHY? YOU TUBE has a video titled: autism spectrum seems out of control where a mom talks about this from her standpoint of being a mom with a severly autstic kid...

Many people concerned about mercury from dental amalgam fillings are requesting that these filling be replaced. Unfortunately, they are doing themselves additional harm due to mercury vapor being released as the amalgam fillings are removed.

It is interesting to note that mercury amalgam was recently reclassified as MORE risky than before, while at the same time the FDA is still basically claiming it's safe to use.

"On July 28, 2009, FDA issued a final rule that: (1) reclassified mercury from a class I (least risk) device to class II (more risk) device; (2) classified dental amalgam as a class II device; and (3) designated a special controls guidance document for dental amalgam."

Comment on National Animal Identification System (NAIS) by Bill Suydam

The irony about NAIS is that it's a great idea---if you apply it to factory farming and factory farmers only. It should have nothing at all to do with small farmers, organic farmers and private individuals (as opposed to corporations). But the way NAIS is set up, the big corporations get a pass. All they have to report is that they have 300,000 head of cattle at a certain location in Wyoming. They're not required to put individual taqs on their animals they way small farmers and individuals are.

The whole point behind NAIS is---or at least should be---food safety. Yet the food safety issues always come into play when you have big farms, big slaughterhouses and process plants. The Amish farmer raising a small herd of cattle organically simply isn't posing any great danger to the food supply.

Yet that's the type of individual the NAIS is going after.

I've been thinking about the potential double effect of a factory farm caused pandemic. It appears that the extreme concentration or centralization of our food supply could create a pandemic. If a deadly outbreak were to emerge from a country with such overly centralized food, it seems to me likely that there could be a greater potential for agriculture and food supply chains to be affected as well, as sickness of the fewer numbers of existing farmers alive today than existed in the past, often now producing monoculture crops, could mean a larger impact on our food supply than if more people were growing their own food in a more decentralized system, perhaps even growing their own food as was far more common during the Spanish Flu outbreak.
